The yearly festival ties many people to the beautiful land of La Trappe through workshops, music, big dinners, and building everything together. This year, we celebrated ‘Fuite Cosmique’ on the new land, with lots of space for installations, new facilities and large dinner tables. We built a new sauna, 4 dry toilets, a shower, bar, two stages and an outdoors kitchen and washing station. Over the years, the festival has grown into a completely community-run celebration, where everyone carries its organisation, program, operation and safety together.

How does a festival work as an instrument for its hosting space? Through the festival, La Trappe grows as a community space. It not only introduces new people, it also shows the full potential of its spaces, all dressed up in colors, culture and populated with its people and their appropriations. This way, the space displays its dream to its community, community and space transforming together over time in symbiosis.
