‘Gausta’ is a pendant lamp designed by Elpee design, a lighting design studio founded by Jelle Grevink and Pepijn Determann in 2018. The work was presented at Dutch Design Week 2019, and has been installed in 8 interiors in the Netherlands and Germany since.

Carefully prototyped and refined until its release in 2019, the lamp is like a handcrafted, illuminated sculpture. With an aluminium suspension system and armature made in Delft, a solid acrylic staff distributing the light gently through the sanded surface, and a laser cut body from MDF lamellae, the dynamic design responds to space and movement.
